Embracing Islam

Join Masjid-e-Usman in embracing service to those seeking guidance on the path to Islam. Individuals arrive at our mosque with a desire to accept the Declaration of Faith (Shahādah). Our process for conversion, or reversion, is straightforward: one simply pronounces the Declaration of Islamic Faith with sincere conviction.

Our knowledgeable Imaams engage with each individual, guiding them through the Arabic transliteration of the Shahādah followed by its English translation. They also receive an explanation of the main articles of faith, which they may choose to accept. Once completed, the mosque issues a certificate verifying the recitation, approved and stamped, and presents it to the new Muslim.

We provide literature and advice to support new Muslims on their journey, and they are encouraged to return to deepen their understanding. Additionally, we offer classes to teach new Muslims about prayer, available upon request. Whether one seeks to accept Islam or simply desires to learn more, our mosque office is open to all during all days of the week.
